Puddin Pop came to Purrfect Pals as a kitten when the women who was caring for her could no longer keep her. Puddin Pop was briefly adopted as a barn cat, but quickly returned when they realized she could not handle being outdoors (and she also bullied the owner's horses). Puddin' Pop is the sweetest tortie you will ever meet. She has no typical signs of tortitude and actually thrives on being in the company of people. Do not let her sweet nature fool you, Puddin' Pop can still be a diva about some things. She has very specific litter box needs that if not adhered to, she will choose not to use the box. She prefers to have her own litterbox that she does not have to share with other cats. Puddin' Pop does need a larger litter box because of her size. She also prefers that the litter box stays clean; if the box is to dirty she will choose to defecate just outside the box. The staff have been keeping up with her demands and we have seen no litterbox problems since. Puddin' Pop is on the heavy side, so a monitored diet is a must with her. She tends to eat whatever is placed in front of her, so measured feedings and weight calculations are a must! Because of her size, Puddin' occasionally needs help with grooming (brushing, coat maintenance, and occasional Sani-shaves). Puddin' Pop was recently diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus which is is a rare disorder in cats that affects the body's ability to conserve water, thereby releasing too much of it. This condition is characterized by increased urination, dilute urine (so-called insipid, or dull urine), and increased thirst and drinking. Therefore, Puddin' Pop does take a daily medication that helps her regulate this problem, and has shown great improvement and success! Puddin' Pop is ready for a second chance at a forever home! Like all Purrfect Pals cats, Puddin Pop has been viral tested, altered, microchipped, and started on vaccines.
